Upcoming Changes

This fall...job specific emotes! That will be cool.

Garuda Server will be added to our Server. So they're starting to consolidate servers.

The level cap will be going up to 99! And they're thinking of adding new merits to the list only for lv99 characters.

Three new mini-expansions are coming out.

And for people that signed up for the FFXIV beta, the first round of notifications will be going out on Mar 1. And then their tester's site will go live on Mar 11.

Job specific emotes has me intrigued...

They say it's supposed to help in role playing... It makes me wonder what they plan on doing. The image looks like the warrior doing Terry Bogard's "C'mon!" taunt...

Maybe the Dragoon will have the super-special-secret-dragoon-handshake implimented in-game.

"The finer points of how these new motions will be acquired are still under consideration"

So it's not something they're just going to 'give' players. If it's anything like the new WSs they added, you'll have to do a hard quest for it.

So odds are we won't see it just like we won't see any of the new areas or new stuff in the three new mini-expansions. It really feels like the latest stuff was fully catering to the high levels as well as admitting that server populations are dwindling. So they want to keep the players they still have. Esp by upping the level to 99. I can just imagine the grind it will take to get those last 24 levels.
